Chapman Swivel Stool
The Chapman is the Chatwin's quieter sibling. Same round seat, same easy swivel, but with the turned legs traded for a long, clean taper — a small change in vocabulary that adds up, in the end, to a different room. Where the Chatwin reads as campaign furniture lightly tamed, the Chapman is what happens when the campaign profile is allowed to slip toward modernism without ever quite arriving there.
It is, perhaps, the better choice for a kitchen with less to say — one where the architecture is doing the talking and the seating is meant to keep its voice down. The construction is the same as the rest of the swivel family: bench-made joinery, a recessed mechanism that disappears from the side, a generous round seat upholstered in the material of your choosing, ready for as many years of breakfasts and late-night conversations as the household can supply.
